It’s the final game of the IPL group stage and there’s a lot at stake, with respect to a Top 2 finish and a playoff spot as well. KKR have been handed a lifeline, thanks to SRH losing the game vs RCB last time.

A win for MI would secure a top 2 finish, helping them go over DC in the points table. KKR on the other hand need a win at all costs to secure a playoff spot, as a loss would end their playoff hopes for sure.

Let’s get to business now.

MI vs KKR Dream 11 Prediction

Wicketkeeper for MI vs KKR Dream 11

For the wicketkeeper slot, I go in with QDK, as he bats at the top of the order and has a better chance of making an impact than Dinesh Karthik, who could be pushed down the order for Andre Russell to move up.

Bowlers for MI vs KKR Dream 11

Lasith Malinga would be the first bowler that I get into my team. 2 overs at the death are enough to warrant a place for one of the greatest death bowlers of all time in my MI vs KKR Dream11 team.

Rahul Chahar has been brilliant with the ball in the middle overs for MI. Taking the ball away from the right handers, Chahar can be a real menace for the KKR batting unit, especially because they have 5 right handers in their top 7.

For the final bowling pick, I would get in Kuldeep Yadav, who I think should walk into KKR’s team for the final game, largely because of how Piyush Chawla has bowled in the last few games. Kuldeep did have a few bad games during the middle phase, but with the KKR bowling unit being a little spineless, they need to get the brilliance of Kuldeep in.

If he doesn’t play, I would get in Harry Gurney, who is KKR’s designated death bowler.

All-Rounders for MI vs KKR Dream 11

Two of the best all rounders of IPL 2019, who lit up the Eden Gardens the last time these two sides faced off against each other this season would be my two picks for this category.

On current form, you would be foolish to leave either of Hardik Pandya or Andre Russell out; get both of them in.

Batsmen for MI vs KKR Dream 11

Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana would the first two batsmen I get into my side for this game. Gill has been in sublime form in the last few games, especially after being promoted to the top of the order. Rana on the other hand has been the mainstay of that KKR middle order, delivering all through the season, especially with his death overs striking.

I get in Robin Uthappa as my third batting pick, as he bats at number 3 and would enjoy the ball coming onto the bat at the Wankhede. I am a little tilted towards him, as I feel he has the required ammunition to succeed at number 3.

Krunal Pandya or Robin Uthappa?

I am investing a little heavily into batsmen here because of the Wankhede being a flat track. But it also has been helpful to spinners in the last few games and hence you might want to get Krunal Pandya in for one of the batsmen. Thus, if the pitch report says that the ball will spin a bit, I will get in Krunal Pandya instead of Uthappa.

Rohit Sharma would be my next pick. While he hasn’t really set the ball rolling this season, I feel Rohit Sharma is almost there with respect to his form and ball striking. And with the KKR bowling unit not being that great, I think getting Rohit Sharma is a safe bet.

For the final batting pick, I get in Suryakumar Yadav, who has been quietly chipping in with some crucial runs at the top of the order for MI. Again his batting position is what works in his favour. Evin Lewis was pushed to number 4 in the last game and hence Surya gets the nod ahead of him.
