Can KKR qualify for IPL playoffs 2019: KKR’s playoff chances | IPL 2019 News
Can KKR qualify for IPL playoffs 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you Kolkata Knight Riders’ prospects of qualifying for IPL 2019 playoffs.
Coming on the back of a seven-wicket victory over Kings XI Punjab at Mohali last night, Kolkata Knight Riders have kept their IPL 2019 campaign alive. With six victories and seven losses in 13 matches, KKR are currently at No. 5 in the points table.
With four wins in five matches, Knight Riders did start their campaign on a high note. However, a barren patch in the middle saw them losing as many as six matches on the trot. It is their victory in the last two matches which has brought them back in the tournament.
In what has been a resurgence for them, KKR now find themselves fighting for the fourth spot with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals in the points table. While KKR have fair chances of making it to the Top Four, today and tomorrow will be two vital days for them.
Can KKR qualify for IPL playoffs 2019
In what is a case of Kolkata also depending on other teams, what they need first and foremost is a win against in their last league match against Mumbai Indians. If Kolkata manage to do the same, Rajasthan Royals will be out of contention for the playoffs.
What a pic! Congrats @RealShubmanGill. Enjoyed watching the Sr Gill dance! @KKRiders https://t.co/wqje499GrV

Sunrisers, who also have 12 points to their name, will also be looking to win their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. If SRH (0.653) defeat RCB, the team with a better Net Run Rate between them and KKR (0.173) will qualify. If SRH lose to RCB and Knight Riders beat Indians, KKR will qualify without needing to take care about their run rate.
If KKR lose to Mumbai…
Since it will be the last league match of IPL 2019, the two-time champions wouldn’t be able to do much. The most slightest of chance for them to qualify then would come into effect if both SRH and RR lose their respective matches and KKR have a better Net Run Rate than SRH.
