Former England captain Michael Vaughan has made sure that he keeps on trolling and taking sly digs at players, teams, and even commentators at the slightest of available opportunities during the ongoing 2019 Cricket World Cup.

His recent one has been directed at the Australia Cricket team who were obliterated by England in the second semi-final of the World Cup, by 8 wickets at Edgbaston. Taking due advantage of the humiliating one-sided Aussie loss for the first time in a World Cup semi-final, Vaughan again took to his Twitter handle to troll the Kangaroos.
What did Michael Vaughan Tweet?
Vaughan took reference of the picture in which the Australian Cricketers under the guidance of their coach Justin Langer, were seen walking barefoot at the Edgbaston ground in an attempt to capture “positive energy coming out of the earth” before their World Cup semi-final against England.
The practice of going barefoot is known as “earthing” or “barefoot healing” and its advocates claim it can reduce stress and inflammation and improve sleep and general well-being.
Vaughan took this picture reference to take a dig at the Aussies and posted the same picture on his social media handle with ‘Barefoot Barminess’ written in Caps below it.
Former Australian cricketers slam Vaughan
Also, after the first innings when Australia huffed and puffed to a total of 223/10, Vaughan suggested the Australian bowlers to bowl barefoot. “The Aussies should try bowling in Barefoot !!!!”, he tweeted.
Perhaps exasperated by his tweet, former Australian wicket-keeper batsman, Adam Gilchrist called called Vaughan an idiot via his Twitter handle.
While on his ‘Barefoot Barminess’ picture, former Australian batsman- Damien Martyn came up with a fitting reply to Vaughan which read- “Geez that’s a bit harsh considering you have 5 to win to catch up @michaelvaughan”.
It is worth mentioning that Michael Vaughan has had an average ODI career, averaging a paltry 27.15 in the 83 innings that he has played for England, without even a single century under his belt.
The Aussies should try bowling in Barefoot !!!! 😜 #CWC19
