Mino Raiola provides update on Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future

Mino Raiola provides major update on Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future. The French midfielder’s future at the club has long been under speculation.

World Cup winner Paul Pogba created quite a stir last summer when he claimed that he was looking for a new challenge after 3 years with Manchester United. Possible moves to Real Madrid and even old club Juventus were speculated but, in the end, he stayed put.

The 27-year old was called an integral part of the club by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer; who insisted that Pogba’s future was at Old Trafford. His agent on the other hand, continued to apply pressure on the club to sell the player.

The super-agent has once again spoken about the future of his client as speculation continues to exist after Pogba was limited to just 8 appearances this season while the arrival of January recruit, Bruno Fernandes has led some to believe that the club can survive without him.

Raiola insists that Paul Pogba’s immediate concern is to make a return for Manchester United and help them achieve Champions League football. However, he has not ruled out the possibility of the Frenchman plying his trade elsewhere thereafter.

“Paul Pogba is going through a tough time at the moment and given how sensitive they are in England, let me be clear that he’s focused on having a strong end to the season with Manchester United,” Raiola told Marca.

“He wants to get back into the team, finish the season well and secure the club’s place in the Champions League next year.

“We can’t say what will happen [when Pogba’s contract expires in June 2021]. We can’t know that right now. What matters now is the club and the team.

“We will see what might happen further down the line. There was a lot of interest in him, but it [a transfer] wasn’t possible. Last year doesn’t matter now. We will see what happens.”
