Mitchell Marsh IPL 2020: Watch SRH all-rounder's face-off against brother Shaun Marsh in BBL 2019

SRH all-rounder’s face-off against brother Shaun Marsh: The Marsh brothers played against each other for the first time in the Big Bash League.

During the seventh match of the ongoing ninth season of the Big Bash League between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers in Perth, brothers Shaun Marsh and Mitchell Marsh played against each other for the first time in the tournament.

While both of them used to play for Scorchers in the past, Shaun Marsh moved to Renegades ahead of this season. Shaun, 36, is playing as a specialist batsman under Australia limited-overs captain Aaron Finch for Melbourne. On the other hand, Mitchell Marsh is leading Perth this year.

The younger Marsh introduced himself into the bowling attack as the second-change bowler in the seventh over of the second innings. Bowling his first delivery to Shaun, the rare sight witnessed plentiful interest on the part of both the players and the fans.

Just as Mitchell Marsh started his run-up, Shaun pulled off from the delivery which added interest to the face-off. The giant screen was also showing both the players’ faces to provide a better view to everyone present in the stadium.

Both the Marsh brothers scoring individual half-centuries for their respective teams was the last thing which fans aspired to watch.

With nearly 400 runs being scored in the match, it was the hosts who registered an 11-run victory. Mitchell Marsh, who scored 56* (22) with the help of one four and six sixes to propel Perth to 196/7, was declared the ‘Man of the Match’.
