Mohammad Shami’s life has been turned upside down ever since his wife revealed details about him cheating with multiple women in India and abroad.

Shami, who has been a regular member of the Indian contingent has now been left out of a BCCI contract due to disciplinary reasons and will be drafted in only after his innocence is proved.

While Jahan’s allegations were limited to only ‘cheating and physical torture’ until two days ago, yesterday, in an interview with ABP news she also levelled match fixing allegations against her husband.

Apparently Shami had been taking some money from a so called ‘Mohammad Bhai’ in England, a source of income that Jahan was unable to comprehend, thus labelling it as ‘match fixing’ money.

Shami has denied all allegations that have been laid against him, and has told reporters that he would rather die than fix matches.

“As far as the allegation of compromising my performance playing for the country is concerned, I would rather die than do something like this,” Shami told reporters.

“Hasin (wife) and her family have been saying that we will sit and talk out all issues, but I don’t know who has been misleading her,” he added.

A police complaint has been lodged against Shami and his family for physically abusing Shami’s wife, however Shami has denied all allegations.

“Hi I’m Mohammad Shami. Ye jitna bhi news hamara personal life ke bare may chal raha hai, ye sab sarasar jhut hai, ye koi bahut bada humare khilap sajish hai or ye mujhe badnam karne or mera game kharab karne ka kosis ki ja rahi hai (I deny all that is going on regarding my personal life. This is a conspiracy against me and it is being done to hamper my game),” Shami had tweeted.
