Wife of defamed Indian pacer Mohammad Shami, Hasin Jahan is all set to make her Bollywood debut.

After Shami recently passed the Yo-Yo Test, there is more news regarding the whimsical Indian bowler. His wife Hasin Jahan was approached by director Amjad Khan to play a part in his debut film and Jahan has given a nod for the role.

“I had to do something to earn a living for myself and my child. I did not have any other option. I was approached by director Amjad Khan for a film to which I agreed. I also need money for the legal fight.

“My film is based on a riot which sparks off in Bengal and spreads in different parts of the country. The main two characters are two painters – one of them a Hindu and the other a Muslim and Jahan plays a reporter who is an important character to bring two together. I had known her for a long time and since this reporter is a very strong woman with a fighting spirit, Jahan was my first choice as she fits in like a glove,” Jahan said in an interview.

Few days back, she had released a short clip of her photo shoot.

“I gave up my career… my dreams for Shami… But now that he has deserted me, I am striving to reclaim the fame and popularity I had once achieved. I hesitated at first to call up my old friends… But I have to work to ensure a better future for my daughter and my old friends responded,” she said in an interview to Times of India.

Jahan will be seen in the role of the reporter in the movie set in West Bengal. The movie is set to go on floor in October this year.
