Starc yells at Pant

Starc yells at Pant: The Australian fast bowler was seen yelling at the Indian wicket-keeper after he ran on the pitch.

During the second day of the third Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Melbourne, Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc was seen yelling at India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant after he was caught running on the pitch.

It all happened in the 167th over of the Indian innings when Pant drove a full-length Starc delivery through the off-side. While running between the wickets, Pant committed an error, perhaps for the second time in the innings, which saw the angry side of the left-arm fast bowler.

”He’s f***ing done it again mate! How dumb are ya?,” Starc was quoted as saying on the stump mic.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that having fielded for so long in the match had taken a toll on the Australian bowler. Moreover, a batsman running on the pitch would increase the rough for the bowlers. With Australia due to bat in the fourth innings, the rough will make life all the more difficult for them.

Pant, who came in to bat at No. 7 in the 149th over, ended up scoring 39 (76) with the help of three fours. His 76-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Rohit Sharma (63*) saw the duo adding vital runs for the Indian team.

India eventually declared at 443-7 in 169.4 overs. Having scored his 17th Test century in the morning, Cheteshwar Pujara remained the pick of the Indian batsmen. With bowling figures of 34-10-72-3, Pat Cummins was the highest wicket-taker for the hosts.
