Most searched personalities on Google in 2019: Yuvraj Singh and Rishabh Pant beat Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni

Most searched personalities on Google in 2019: Google’s new search-related list displays interesting results regarding Indian cricketers.

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and current wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant have defeated captain Virat Kohli and veteran wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the list of Most Searched Personalities on Google in 2019.

The data released by Google India witnesses Yuvraj and Pant as the only two sports persons in the list which also comprises personalities from the Indian Air Force, Bollywood and a renowned educator.

Post his retirement from international cricket earlier this year, Yuvraj captained Toronto Nationals in the second season of the Global T20 League 2019. Yuvraj also represented Maratha Arabians in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

Yuvraj remained in the news when he announced his retirement during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The huge development was followed by Yuvraj’s father and former India fast bowler Yograj Singh threatening to expose reason behind his son’s retirement.

As far as Pant is concerned, the 21-year old player usually makes the rounds due to his performance or the lack of it. Been part of the Indian team across formats now, Pant predominantly finds himself on the receiving end of severe criticism.

Lack of runs from his bat in addition to him receiving repeated opportunities this year is all the more reason why fans find fault in the southpaw. In the 28 matches that Pant has played across formats this year, he has scored 657 runs at an average of 28.56 and a strike rate of 91.37 including one century and half-century each.

What followed for an 8-year-old was an instant adulation for both Ganguly and the sport. The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
