Yuvraj Singh retires from International cricket: Twitter reactions from Players, fans and teammates on Yuvraj Singh's illustrious career

Here are some of the Twitter reactions on Yuvraj Singh’s retirement from International cricket.

Yuvraj Singh decides to hang up his boots after an illustrious 19-year old career. The two-time World Cup Champion was one of the best players to have worn India’s shirt over the last two decades. He played through cancer in the 2011 World Cup and bagged the Man of the Tournament for his tremendous show with the bat and ball.

He battled his way through that disease and was able to feature for India again. He played more than 500 matches in all formats of the game and mustered out more than 14,000 runs and picked up 185 wickets in this period.

The all-rounder confirmed in a press conference in Mumbai on Monday (June 10).

“I have been playing international cricket on and off for 17 years. Now, it is time to say goodbye, to move on and walk away. It has been a roller coaster ride and a great story but it has to come to an end,” said an emotional Yuvraj. “This is the best time to move on.”

The all-rounder reportedly is now thinking about pursuing a freelance career in foreign T20 leagues and has a few offers up his sleeve.
