Mourinho’s future at United: The Manchester United board has reportedly taken the decision on the future of the manager.
Manchester United suffered a horrific 3-1 loss at Anfield as the players looked all over the place against a fiery Liverpool attack.
Sadio Mane scored the first goal, while super sub Xherdan Shaqiri scored a quick-fire brace to ensure three points for Liverpool at Anfield.
Manchester United scored their only goal of the game through Jesse Lingard, as he took advantage of the howler by Alisson.
Jose Mourinho, in the post-match media interaction, admitted that Liverpool played with more intensity and are stronger than his team, but insisted that Manchester United can still reach the top-4.
There have been calls to sack the manager following a crushing loss at Anfield, and United’s board has reportedly taken the decision.

The board is reluctant to hand over the managerial bench to Michael Carrick until the end of the season due to his inexperience, and is eyeing Mauricio Pochettino for the Manchester United job.
The interest in Zinedine Zidane has also cooled down, according to the report, despite the Frenchman winning three consecutive Champions League titles with the club.

“According to a Portuguese newspaper someone (Mourinho) said that a player like me is at the end of his career. I completely agree! My question for that newspaper: in the case of coaches, when and at what point do you see that they are at the end of theirs?”
