MS Dhoni has been one of the greatest cricketers India has ever produced. (MS Dhoni gives an update on his retirement plans !) There was a lot of speculation that last year’s T20 World Cup would be the last ICC event for the legendary keeper-batsman.
But he insisted that he would want to continue until the ICC World Cup in 2019. After seeing how he first retired from Tests and then gave up his T20 captaincy, Dhoni’s fans were gearing up for the final hurrah of the great man.

But in a recent interview Dhoni has claimed that he feels great and could easily play beyond 2019. He has been in great form in domestic cricket recently and this has probably changed his mind about retiring in the near future. (MS Dhoni gives an update on his retirement plans !)

“There’s is nothing called 100 per cent. The reason being, two years is a long time. A lot can change in two years, especially seeing India Cricket Team’s schedule, it is a very tough schedule. Uske baad aap thode vintage car ban jate hai ( After that you become a Vintage car). A lot of caring is needed.”
Dhoni also insisted that injuries can play a role and that could spoil even the best laid plans. But he did assure his fans that he will not make a hasty decision about his future.
“Looking at everything how it is going through, definitely. (MS Dhoni gives an update on his retirement plans !) But as I said, a lot can happen in two years. Yes, the way I am today, I can easily go beyond the 2019 World Cup,” Dhoni confirmed.
