Veteran keeper-batsman MS Dhoni hit the stumps bull’s eye to dismiss Joe Root off the last ball of the England innings.

It was the last ball of the England innings when David Willey missed a ball outside off stump. He tried to glide it to third man but the ball missed his bat and was through to the keeper MS Dhoni.

Joe Root was quick to rush for a run and David Willey also tried to change sides. As Root ran with all his might towards the striker’s end, Dhoni had a shy at the stumps. He hit bull’s eye and Root was dismissed.

Earlier, England batted first and got off to a good start. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow got starts but failed to convert them. Both of them were dismissed by spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav.

This was followed by Jason Roy who was caught by Umesh Yadav in the deep. Joe Root and Eoin Morgan then consolidated the England innings.

The English ended their innings at 322 for 7. It would be a real challenge for India to chase the total down.

Joe Root scored 113 runs and gathered pace towards the end of the innings. He was very well supported by David Willey who played an absolute blinder, scoring an unbeaten half century off just 31 deliveries to give England an impetus towards the later part of the innings.
