MS Dhoni opens up on his back injury
MS Dhoni has been at his flamboyant best in the IPL this season, scoring runs for fun and helping CSK get over the line on multiple occasions.
Today was just another day at the office for MS Dhoni, as he got into his groove from the first ball and took a good DD bowling unit to the cleaners with his supreme hitting skills.
Watson, Dhoni and Rayudu combined well to get CSK’s score to above 200 and DD were always going to be up against it even though the pitch was flat as a road.
Rishabh Pant was the lone warrior for Delhi as none of the other Delhi batsmen could get going during the mammoth chase.
Dhoni seemed like a content man during the post match presentation, but wasn’t necessarily happy with everything that had transpired on the field.
The CSK captain has been struggling with a back injury and looked a little in discomfort which led Manjrekar to ask him about how his back was.
“Back is bad but nothing much can be done. Because there is no rest period in the middle. I have not been training much because of it. There is a bit of pain but I think I will manage.” Dhoni said.
“It is very important for us to get a good platform and then I can promote myself up the order. It is important for us to get off to a good start and not always in terms of runs but get a good partnership.” he added.
