Former Indian captain and veteran keeper MS Dhoni shocked reporters with his reply when he was incessantly asked about his retirement.

MS Dhoni is one of the greatest limited-overs batsmen that India has produced over the years. As far as keeping is concerned, it is beyond doubt that he is the greatest Indian keeper-batsman of all time. Mahi is also among the few batsmen who average over 50 in the ODIs.

Dhoni comes into bat at numbers 5, 6 or 7 and does not have too many deliveries to face. Given that a lot is at stake at that time, an average of over 50 is really commendable. This actually reflects the number of times that Dhoni has gone unbeaten, taking his team over the line.

However, there have been patches in his career when he has not performed as well as the fans expect him to. It is at those times when the criticism has got very harsh and he has been questioned several times about his retirement.

All the same when a reporter asked him when he would retire, Thala came up with a cheeky reply. Dhoni said, “This question has been asked once in Kolkata and again in Bangladesh many times during the matches. Every 15 days, I face this question. Now this question is like what is your name and every time I say MS Dhoni.”

Dhoni once again proved his critics wrong as he bounced back in the recently concluded IPL. Scoring more than 400 runs, he also led the team to victory on several occasions. The legend captained the side extremely well and extracted the best out of his players. Dhoni will be next seen in action in the T20I series against Ireland.
