MS Dhoni’s manager reveals reason for his change in bat logos in the ongoing matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has come under the scanner off-late for his cold-streak in form in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. It all began with his slowish innings (28 off 52) against Afghanistan where India managed to win by a whisker at Southampton. He was again ridiculed for his ‘lack of intent’ innings versus England in the slog overs when his team required him to go hammer and tongs.

He was again subject to criticism, when he scored a 33 ball 35 versus Bangladesh as India posted 315 on the board. Fans were of the view that he is (understandably) not the same old Dhoni, with the ability to go big right from the word go.

Moreover, as per the recent reports, the 37-year-old might as well hang up his boots after the end of the ongoing World Cup. But, the recent news would bring back the smiles and the possible loss of respect of all his cricket fans across the globe.

Why does MS Dhoni change his bat logos frequently?

The aforementioned news has to do with the change in Dhoni’s bat logos on a consistent basis while he is batting during the ongoing World Cup. One must have noticed that the veteran batsman on a regular basis, after certain duration of time keeps on changing his bat and the logos on them during his innings.

He is seen playing with the bats bearing three sponsors viz. BAS, SG, and SS. While many must have thought it to be some multiple sponsorship deals with which Dhoni is involved in, it in fact turns out to be a rather sweet gesture from his side towards the sponsors.

As per his manager- Arun Pandey, the reason why Dhoni keeps on changing his bat and the logos is because he wishes to express his gratitude towards his various sponsors, who have had their back with him during the various stages of his career.

Pandey, further revealed that the veteran wicket-keeper batsman is not charging a single penny from the aforementioned sponsors for the same.

“He is not charging them. Dhoni has a big heart. He is using those bats as a goodwill gesture”, commented Pandey on the same.

A possible sign of retirement soon?

While this sweet gesture might have increased the already present immense respect for Dhoni in the hearts of his fans, this might join the dots leading to his retirement speculations after the World Cup.

The prime question one would ask after this report is that why would MS Dhoni, all of a sudden during the World Cup take up this act of expressing a kind gesture towards his various sponsors?

While one still cannot be cent percent sure about its connection with his impending retirement, at hindsight this is the first thought that would first stem up in the minds of the Cricketing fraternity. But, to look it the other way around, each time people have tried to enter the mind of this legend, they have come out scratching their own!
