MI Predicted Playing XI vs DC

MI Predicted Playing XI vs DC: Sportsrush presents before you MI’s Predicted Playing XI for their first match of IPL 2019 vs DC.

The Indian Premier League is now in full-flow, as two of the biggest cities of India, Mumbai and
Delhi take on each other at the Wankhede Stadium. The Mumbai Indians will face a re-branded
Delhi Capitals, who will be looking to turn their IPL fortunes around this season.

On the other hand, a disappointing last season will motivate the home team to get back to
winning ways and find their way into the top four this season. Backed by big names in the
management including those of Sachin Tendulkar and Mahela Jayawardene, the players will be
boosted to test their credentials against an inspired Delhi side.

The management will be hoping to play the best playing XI, considering Mumbai Indians are
without the services of Lasith Malinga and Jason Behrendorff, with both the pacers not yet in
India.

On the other hand, Adam Milne has also been ruled out of the IPL due to a heel injury
forcing the management to re-construct the strategy.

With that being said, The SportsRush predicts the playing XI of Mumbai Indians against Delhi
Capitals:

Rohit Sharma (c):

After a disappointing season last year with the bat at positions 3 and 4, Rohit Shrma has
promised to open in all the games this season. His prolific record and captaincy skills make him
a no-brainer in the eleven.

Evin Lewis:

The West Indian superstar has been out of form as of late, but with Quinton de Kock just arriving
in India, it is likely that Lewis will feature in the playing XI against the Delhi Capitals.

Suryakumar Yadav:

The local batsman has made his name in the IPL with brilliant batting skills and has established
himself as one of the mainstays of the Mumbai Indians line-up.

Ishan Kishan (wk):

In the absence of Quinton de Kock, Kishan will be a mainstay in the wicket-keeping slot to go
along with his contributions with the bat.

Kieron Pollard:

The big West Indian is fresh from helping his team reach the PSL final, performing consistently
with the bat and chipping in with the ball. Apart from that, his IPL statistics make him an
automatic choice.

Krunal Pandya:

The left-handed all-rounder has been a revelation for the Mumbai Indians after making his debut
in 2016. He has been a part of the Indian T20I team and will be useful for Rohit Sharma in the
middle overs.

Hardik Pandya:

Krunal’s younger brother, Hardik, has quickly emerged as the best all-rounder in India thanks to his superb hitting skills and his ability to pick up wickets at the right time. His success with India and Mumbai Indians make him an important setup of the squad.

Ben Cutting:

Famous for his role in the IPL 2016 final, Ben Cutting is an explosive all-rounder who can
contribute well with his bowling skills. In the absence of front-line pacers, Cutting will be a good
choice.

Mitchell McClenaghan:

McClenaghan has been a regular for the Mumbai Indians over the past few seasons, with the
Kiwi bowling well up front and towards the back of the innings. With that being said, he will be
an important part of the playing XI.

Mayank Markande:

The right-arm leg break bowler that stunned one and all last season will be making his comeback
into the Mumbai Indians team, and he will be a tough opposition for the batters to handle.

Jasprit Bumrah:

This man needs no introduction. Rising his way to become one of the best bowlers in the world
right now from this very team makes Bumrah a valuable asset for Rohit Sharma, as the fiery
pacer will be spearheading the bowling attack for Mumbai.
