With four wins and three losses in seven matches, three-time Indian Premier League winners Mumbai Indians are currently on the third spot in the points table. Expected to win their last match against Rajasthan Royals, Indians ended up failing to defend 187 runs yesterday.
Out of the four matches that Indians have played at Wankhede this season, they have won and lost two matches each. The hosts would be eager to make amends especially in front of their home crowd tomorrow.

Top-order
Mumbai Indians’ opening duo of captain Rohit Sharma and wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock stitching a 96-run partnership yesterday came as a sign in the affirmative for Indians. With their lower-order batsmen finishing matches for them consistently, quick runs at the top were what the team needed the most.
While IPL 2018 was a breakout year for Suryakumar Yadav, the same cannot be said about this season. In seven matches, Yadav has scored 154 runs at an average of 22 and a strike rate of 137.50. MI might opt to give one more opportunity to Siddesh Lad or include batsman Anmolpreet Singh at No. 3.
Middle-order
Another potential change which Mumbai Indians can make for tomorrow is include veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh in place of Ishan Kishan. If they are planning to play all-rounder Kieron Pollard at No. 4, the above said might add power to their lineup. If not, Kishan shouldn’t be sent anywhere lower than No. 4.

There is no hiding to the fact that Pollard and Hardik Pandya’s form holds the key for Indians in IPL 2019. Given how the duo have changed the proceedings in the business end for MI, the team would be doubtlessly banking on them.
Bowlers
A major call which the team management will have to take would be around their second overseas fast bowler. Post registering best-ever IPL figures on his IPL debut, Alzarri Joseph has not managed to dismiss a single batsman in two matches.
Furthermore, him conceding 75 runs in five overs since then might force Mumbai to bring back legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga.
An economy rate of 6.64 has made young leg-spinner Rahul Chahar a blessing for MI so far. Chahar would now be looking forward to the challenge of bowling against Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
