The defending NASCAR Cup champion Joey Logano could not have had a worse day at Pocono. First, he ended up in a wreck which ended his race, after previously winning stage 1. Then he lashed out with an explosive expletive-filled argument with the track workers regarding how his car had to be towed back to the pits.

Following the race, the Team Penske driver spoke with the press and explained his frustration regarding what had transpired. This is where he mentioned how he did not agree with the system NASCAR had in place and wanted to speak with NASCAR about solving this as soon as possible.
Joey Logano shares his frustration after a massive rant at Pocono
Logano stated, “It’s rough, your heads bouncing around in there. It’s stupid… I saw at least 25 trucks. If we can put four tires on one of them with a jack and an impact that can just change the tires and let us come back instead of dragging the car two miles around the racetrack…”
Joey Logano said the damage from the wall ended his day, but he thought it was stupid that there can’t be four spare tires and tire-changing equipment on one of the trucks that would have spared him being towed with four flat tires. He explains: pic.twitter.com/Wf22Oh0861

He then added, “It’s not fun for anybody — the poor guy driving the tow truck. The poor driver getting his head knocked around for two miles, and the poor team that’s got to fix the underbodies of these things after they get dragged around…”
“It’s dumb. I don’t know. It is what it is, but it seems like it has a very easy fix. I’ve brought this up before, but I guess it doesn’t matter.”
What happened between Logano and the track workers before?
The verbal altercation happened after Logano was stranded on the track following the wreck. As the track workers arrived to tend to him, Logano launched into an argument because he needed a tow truck. This was owing to the fact that all four of his tires were flat at that point and he could not drive it back to the pits.
The 45-second long clip showcasing the incident retained some of the things that Logano told the track worker. Although, not all the things can be heard clearly. But at one point Logano screams, “Put the truck to the ***** thing!” Telling the workers, “I can’t drive it. I need a tow truck.” After a few exchanges of words, the workers finally got a tow truck to take him back to the pit road.
During that time, the two-time Cup Series champion said, “Yeah, that’s what I’ve been asking for!” Further yelling, “God, stupid sons of *****!”
Apparently, the original plan was to push Logano back to the pits using one of the trucks. But owing to all of his tires being flat, the only logical step would have been to tow him back.
