2 Years Before Announcing Album Plans, LeBron James Explained How He Brought ‘Deluxe Album’ Concept to 2 Chainz’ RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE
There is little doubt that LeBron James is one of the best players in NBA history. Still going strong at 38, while James’ on-court skills are unquestionable, some of the claims he has made over the years are. Fans on social media have often found LeBron making up claims and presenting an alternate version of the truth. James’ lies are especially apparent when he talks about music. For example, James once claimed that he had been listening to Migos since 2010 when the hip-hop trio’s first release came out in 2011. Similarly, back in 2019, James unintentionally seemed to be speaking of the concept of a ‘deluxe album’ to rapper 2 Chainz as something he had invented during a studio visit.
James’ association with music is well-known. He had claimed in 2021 that he wanted to make his own album, two years after he made the deluxe album claim.
LeBron James once took credit for ‘deluxe albums’ unintentionally during a meeting with 2 Chainz
Back in 2019, 2 Chainz credited LeBron for A&R for his album “RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE.” The American rapper had claimed that LeBron had worked with him for the entirety of the year and was appreciative of his advice.
However, fans caught him appearing to take credit for the concept of deluxe albums. LeBron thought he had stumbled onto a new concept when advising 2 Chainz to release a couple of his songs separately, a week after the initial release.
My love for music is INSANE!!! I think I’m going to do a album. Oh no I won’t be rapping or anything like that. I’m not crazy, I know what I’m great at, but I tell you one thing I do have. So many friends that can. 😉😁! Thinking out load 🤔👑💭.

The move is fairly common in the music industry and allows artists to sustain their interest in their work for longer periods of time. James obviously did not know about deluxe albums, and thought that he was talking about something new:
“Is there a problem with a week, or two weeks after the album drop with the 14 tracks, that we add a deluxe album and we add the two tracks back on?”
The hilarious incident is only one of the many mistakes/lies James has been caught with over the years.
King James’ rendition of 6LACK’s song made the rapper question his own lyrics
Back in January 2021, LeBron posted a video of himself singing to 6LACK’s song Young Thug while sipping on a glass of wine. James hilariously made a mistake in the very first verse.
Instead of “Hoppin’ out the car, no photos, baby,” he ended up with “yabadabadodobo old navy.” The hilarious rendition led to a response from the rapper himself.
the sureness made me question my own lyrics 😂 https://t.co/5GvFmbiPqK

6LACK joked that James’ version had led to him question his own lyrics. The rapper was taken aback by the confidence with which James came up with the rendition. Of course, the player himself was simply enjoying his time.
