Andre Iguodala, Who Lost $1 Million in FTX Crash, Was Once Berated by WNBA Star for Complimenting Her Performance

Back in 2020, the world was going through a lot of things. There was the COVID pandemic, which shut down daily life for everyone. At the same time, the world was also fighting various social causes. It all started with George Floyd’s brutal murder and then arose the Black Lives Matter movement. Andre Iguodala and most of the NBA fully supported the same.

When the 2020 NBA Bubble started, the players wore messages on their jerseys for social causes, including the BLM.

While in the Bubble, Iguodala caught a WNBA game between the Washington Mystics and the Connecticut Sun. Aerial Powers was incredible that game, scoring 27 points, along with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Andre put out a tweet while watching her play.

However, that tweet generated a result Andre would have never hoped for.

Aerial Powers fired back at Andre Iguodala over not using her name

While Andre thought he appreciated Powers, she certainly did not feel that way. She made the same known with her tweet.

This did not sit right with Andre, who put out this tweet the next day.

Powers did not stay silent, and she responded with this.

She took a TMZ headline from the time of Iguodala’s divorce, which Iguodala later disputed and said it was taken out of context.

How did Twitter react to the same?

Twitter, as always, was split in half. While there were some who didn’t see what Iguodala did wrong, others faulted the former Finals MVP.
