Russell Westbrook references his “that’s pretty interesting” meme from his MVP season, last night following a win over the Warriors.

Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards have been rolling as of late. Thought to have been a washed-up version of himself, Westbrook proved his doubters wrong yet again by posting up historic triple-doubles and leading the Wizards alongside Bradley Beal to a late-season surge.
They are currently 8-2 in their last 10 games and are officially in the play-in tournament. The most recent win came at the hands of the Golden State Warriors where they faced off against the red-hot Steph Curry.
It was expected of Curry to take advantage of the Wizards’ below-average defense. But surprisingly, he shot merely 7-25 from the field and ended his otherworldly run in April of consecutive 30+ point games.
Russell Westbrook posted up yet another monster stat line of 14 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists while Bradley Beal did his thing by dropping 29 points and coming through in the clutch.
Though the Wizards did get a little bit of help from a botched lay-up by Andrew Wiggins to tie the game up in the final seconds, a win is a win.
Russell Westbrook hilariously recreates his meme from his MVP season
Following the win over GSW, the 2017 MVP was informed by a reporter that he actually leads the NBA in clutch field goal percentage at 59.1%. Upon hearing this, all Russell Westbrook could say was, “Ahh that’s interesting.”

To the casual fan, this would be a mere acknowledgement of the information that he just heard. However, to fans that like to immerse themselves in all things NBA, they would be quick to point out that Russ recreated a moment from a postgame interview he had nearly 5 years ago during his MVP season.
A reporter told him then that he was the first person in NBA history to post a triple-double while shooting 100% from the field and free throw line. To this, Westbrook responded with, “Ahh that’s pretty interesting,” as well.
It seems as though the Wizards guard is fully aware of the memes that are made at his expense, and it’s great to see that he can also have a chuckle at them, along with NBA fans.
