"Anthony Davis is Playing Pretty Much Pain Free": Darvin Ham Reveals Promising Update on 6ft 10" Star Who Missed 16 Games

The Los Angeles Lakers have been highly disappointing the last two seasons. Since the trade that brought Russell Westbrook to the Lakers from Washington, the gold and purples have not found their footing. They have only found themselves getting bullied by teams. In fact, the trio of Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, which seemed so brilliant on paper, has been a certified bust.

We believe the most difficult thing for Lakers fans to deal with in these turbulent times has been Anthony Davis and his injuries. He was a crucial element in Rob Pelinka’s plan. But with his regular absence, the Lakers have missed an important defender and scorer.

But it seems that his absence will now be short-lived. Darvin Ham has shared a positive update about his 6ft 10″ forward’s recovery.

Darvin Ham claims Anthony Davis playing pain-free

In his most recent interview, Ham confessed that Davis has started his individual practices, He also revealed that Davis has been playing pain-free and has pushed his practice to 1-hour sessions. Luckily, AD’s foot is not troubling him too much.

Lakers reporter for The Athletic Jovan Buha wrote via his Twitter:

“Darvin Ham says Anthony Davis has been ramping up with 30-minute, 45-minute and 1-hour on-court workouts. His foot has mainly been pain-free, according to Ham.”

This is promising considering AD has already missed over 16 games. If he progresses at the same speed without any other obstacles, we should hope to see Anthony playing again soon.

With Davis on the court, the Lakers will look like a very different squad. AD, before the injury, was posting MVP numbers. Now, with the emergence of Thomas Bryant, the trio of Davis, LeBron James, and Bryant will definitely make the team a lot better than they already are. Lakers fans are highly hopeful of the inevitable improvement of their squad.

Lakers fans waiting for AD to return

Fans feel that AD is a very valuable asset to the team. They feel his return will definitely improve Lakers’ chances.

It’s still too early to correctly predict a return date for AD. But his increased minutes in practice mean he is closer than we had anticipated until now. The best-case scenario for the Lakers would be Davis returning before March.
