“Avery Bradley could sign with the Lakers”: LeBron James and co could receive a boost with former teammate re-signing
Sources say that Houston Rockets player Avery Bradley is a very strong candidate for the Los Angeles Lakers’ final roster spot.
After a lot of talk on the subject, the LA Lakers have finally acquired Andre Drummond. The franchise now only has one roster spot left, and just a little over $1 million to spend. And as per sources, the franchise is looking for a 3-and-d player more than anything else.
There is certainly a plethora of candidates for the Lakers to go after. And with there being further buyouts on the horizon according to insiders, that pool is certain to increase.
With that being said, league insiders have since come out with a shocking report. It is believed that former LA Lakers player Avery Bradley is the front runner for the roster spot.
Sources believe Avery Bradley could be exactly the player that the LA Lakers are looking for
As many fans know, Avery Bradley played for the LA Lakers during the 2019-20 season. But he chose not to play in the bubble so that he could stay with his family during a trying time.
During the following off-season, the 30-year-old headed to the Miami Heat as a free agent. He has since been traded to the Houston Rockets, where it will be very difficult for him to find a role.
And so, many insiders believe that the player will be looking to buy out his contract with the franchise soon. And when this happens, since the player has already shown he can be a very good 3-and-D player on a championship team, the LA Lakers will be looking to acquire him.
A name to monitor as the Lakers look to fill their final roster spots: Avery Bradley. He was traded to HOU from MIA today. Rockets already have logjam of guards to back up John Wall. Bradley, a former Pelinka client, made strong impression on LAL before opting out of the bubble

There are still doubts surrounding this potential move though. Many have questioned why Avery Bradley would return to the team he chose to move away from in the off-season. But, the usual response to that has been ‘anything for another ring’.
At this point in time, there is a lot on the table for the LA Lakers. So fans will be keeping their eyes peeled on every move the franchise makes in the near future.
