“Ben Simmons is the same old s**t basketball player, like Chris Brown”: Musician has spectacular social media meltdown over comparisons to 76ers star
NBA Twitter compares Ben Simmons to Chris Brown, which resulted in Chris Brown going off in the Instagram comments.
James Harden made it clear in his postgame interview following the Rockets loss to the Lakers that he wanted out of Houston. This caused teams to scramble and put together packages to offer to the Rockets in exchange for the 2018 MVP.
The frontrunners in most people’s eyes were the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets. Though Brooklyn did eventually pull away with the trade, the 76ers did have a solid offer in mind.
Ben Simmons was the big trade chip the 76ers used to lure the Rockets into making the trade with them. Seems as though he wasn’t enough and when the Rockets asked for players such as Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers backed out.
Social media has been flaming the Sixers ever since, saying that not trading Ben Simmons for James Harden will turn out to be the worst mistake they have made as a franchise. With the way Simmons’s season is going, this could pan out to be the truth.
Chris Brown doesn’t like that he got compared to Ben Simmons
Ben Simmons hasn’t been all too good this season. Going into every season, it is expected that Simmons will take a leap into superstardom, but he hasn’t done that yet.
So when a Twitter decided to compare Simmons to Chris Brown, Brown immediately took notice. It’s safe to say that from the NSFW language Brown used in response to this comparison, he didn’t really resonate with it.

Ben Simmons has been averaging less points in this 2020-21 NBA campaign than he did in his rookie season. His ppg this season is 12.3, while he averaged nearly 16 points per game in his rookie campaign.
Though points aren’t everything, the way he has been playing doesn’t show that he has taken any strides in his overall game. The only positive is that he is attempting shots from beyond the arc. He’s, however, not making any.
