Shaunie Henderson and Shaquille O’Neal may not be married as of September 2004, yet the woman has continued to stay a big talking point within the NBA community. Of course, a major part of that is due to Shaquille O’Neal’s many admissions of guilt over the different ways he did her wrong. However, her living her best life sure as heck helps too.

Following those lines, Henderson recently visited quite a big basketball game. And no, it wasn’t one from the NBA. Instead, this one was one of the biggest games, in arguably the biggest college tournament ever, the NCAA’s, March Madness tournament. And it’s fair to say, the woman thoroughly enjoyed what she had the gift of experiencing.
San Diego grabbed the victory, and Shaunie Henderson absolutely loved it
Shaunie Henderson may bear no immediate connection to San Diego state, but she is a Californian through and through. She spent her college days at the University of Southern California, while also being a resident of the state for a long time. So of course, when the only California-based college was left in the tournament, she went to watch it.

“You hear the song!… #Californialove *heart emoji*”
In the end, San Diego State just edged it out with a 71-72 victory, bringing on several cheers from the crowd. And of course, given that it was very topical, Dr. Dre’s iconic ‘California Love’ beat is playing in the background, something Shaunie references in her Instagram story.
All around a good day for California. And now, San Diego will probably ride to face off against UConn with their heads held high, with all the hope in their hearts. We wish them all the very best.
