Charles Barkley emphatically backed the Charlotte Hornets to emerge victorious on ‘Inside the NBA’ today. But his prediction went awry.

Playoff Chuck is back on the menu, boys! Everyone’s favorite NBA personality is famed for his nonchalant, often ill-advised declarations and predictions, mainly because he’s one of the most watcchable guys on TV.
Chuck has become meme material over the years for consistently getting practically every notable prediction wrong. But this hasn’t deterred the Chuckster even one bit from continuing to make them.
It seems like the Chuckster just jinxed the Hornets on national TV ahead of tipoff for their play-in game. Barkley got a new toy on the Inside the NBA sets to play with. The Sixers and Suns legend decided to put the toy to its best use, and quickly at that.
Charles Barkley guarantees Hornets win ahead of blowout loss to Domantas Sabonis and co
Chuck used today’s pre-game analysis window to back LaMelo Ball and co in their hunt for a playoff berth. Caris LeVert was declared out of action for today’s game, though the Pacers welcomed Malcolm Brogdon back to the lineup.
This piece of news seemed to be enough to spur Chuck into another of his ill-advised sojourns into the unknown. Charles Barkley predicted the demise of the Pacers’ playoff challenge, ‘guaranteeing’ a Hornets win:
“I just found out, I’m going out on a limb. Ernie can I do it, I just found out what it is? (presses the guarantee button triumphantly) The Charlotte Hornets are going to win!”

I think you’re set. Anytime Chuck says a team is going win they lose 😂

The Pacers entered the 4th quarter with a commanding 30-point lead over the Hornets at 108-78. We’ll be a little sad to hear Eric Collins’ commentary for the final time this season in such a fashion.
But the future does look bright for LaMelo and his teammates. They’ll be in playoff contention once again next season with a lottery pick and hopefully, a healthy Gordon Hayward.
