"Dennis Schroder want to leave LA Lakers": NBA insider reveals that the German point guard could be on another team next season

NBA Insiders reveal that Lakers star Dennis Schroder is not happy with his role and could look to leave this upcoming off-season.

A few seasons ago, Dennis Schroder was one of the most underrated players in the NBA. But, over the past 2 seasons, the player’s stock has risen dramatically, and rightly so. The German’s ability on the court has only grown with every passing season. And now, he is a championship-level point guard, who has the ability to step up in even the most nerve-wracking moments.

When he was first brought in by the LA Lakers, he was considered the established third-star behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. But with the acquisition of Andre Drummond and the growth of Kyle Kuzma, the player can’t quite be so sure of that anymore.

As per reports, the player is now extremely unhappy about his role in the franchise’s roster and could want out as soon as this off-season. Let’s get into it.

Dennis Schroder wants a bigger salary and much bigger role with the LA Lakers

Dennis Schroder isn’t the only player reportedly unhappy with their role in the roster. Earlier this season, it was revealed that Marc Gasol isn’t very happy with his role either. Still, for the NBA champion, it was his public displeasure about his minutes that revealed his feelings.

For Schroder however, it was league executives who had to come forward about the situation. Recently, Bleacher Report was informed about the matter. And after being informed, writer Jake Fischer wrote this.

“Multiple league executives who have overlapped with Schroder told B/R they believe the ball-handler is looking to be paid like a top-tier point guard. And his role in Los Angeles may not satisfy his interest in being the leading playmaker for a marquee franchise.”

This is very bad news for the LakeShow. The reason their roster is so deep is because stars chose to accept smaller roles to win with them.

But, not only is one of their bigger stars now voicing his displeasure, but many could even follow his example.

Insiders have already revealed how the player turned down two extension offers by the franchise this season. However, the team maintained that there was no reason to panic at the time. Perhaps it is finally time to panic for the franchise.
