Draymond Green made headlines in tonight’s Golden State Warriors Game 2 loss to the Sacramento Kings. In the Kings’ first Playoff series in 16 years, they have become the first team in NBA history to make Stephen Curry experience what being down 0-2 in a series is like.

the Kings were dominant all throughout the game and maintained control for a majority of it. many would expect the turning point of the game to come at the Draymond Green ejection at the 7:03 mark of the 4th quarter but the Warriors would instead go on a run thanks in large part to Klay Thompson’s timely 3s.
The Green ejection has become quite controversial as players like Damian Lillard and Isaiah Thomas have come to Draymond’s defense. However, the replay shows quite clearly that the former Defensive Player of the Year had some form of intent when striking down on Domantas Sabonis’s mid-section.
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley on the Draymond Green ejection
If there was one duo in the NBA media space who was going to have fun with this situation, it was going to be Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. While discussing this moment on ‘Inside the NBA’, Shaq would actually go on to defend Green, claiming Sabonis grabbed his leg and had nowhere else to go.
Chuck felt as though Sabonis could’ve simply walked away. The two would get heated, resulting in them hilariously challenging each other to step on one another. Given that Shaq is around 360lbs currently (his goal weight is 350lbs and he claimed that he was 10lbs away from his goal), Barkley would have quite the hard time surviving that.

Draymond did eventually address the situation during his postgame press conference and stated that he simply had no place else to find his balance. However, when he pleaded his case to the officials, he would be assessed a Flagrant 2.
It’s been reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Domantas Sabonis is undergoing X-rays on his ribs and lungs to see if there is any damage internally. He would stay in the game after the scuffle and finish with 24 points and 9 rebounds.
