Many critics believe that the Brooklyn Nets team only looks good on paper and won’t be able to win the title, but count Chris Broussard out.
Earlier this past year, the Nets added James Harden to their lineup alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. As if the team wasn’t strong enough, the Nets went all in and acquired former All-Star and Dunk Contest champion Blake Griffin in their team.

With all five of their starters, have been All-Stars at some point in their careers, the team looks to be the most deadly team in the league. With a star-studded team like Brooklyn’s, many analysts believe that the team only looks good on paper and isn’t as great in reality.
Chris Broussard exclaimed how he believes that the Nets are equally good in reality as they are on paper. On the show ‘First Things First’ Broussard explained himself:
“Brooklyn looks every bit as good in reality as they do on paper. They’ve won 15 of their last 17. They’ve beaten every top contender and pretender in the league. During that 17 game stretch, they’ve been a respectable 16th in the league defensively.”
Move over Lakers. Brooklyn is now the rightful favorite to take the title. https://t.co/WfhfcUBYHc

Chris Broussard reasons that even without Kevin Durant, the Nets have been terrific
Brooklyn’s most prolific scorer Kevin Durant has been sidelined with injuries this season. Coming off a horrific Achilles injury, KD has missed 24 games already.
Even with the absence of KD’s 29 points per game, James Harden and Kyrie Irving have done a terrific job in his absence. The team is only going to be more deadly once the team has a healthy Durant leading their lineup. Broussard added:
“By the way, they (Brooklyn Nets) have done it all without their best player (Kevin Durant) who has the type of game and demeanour that will fit in daily seamlessly when he comes back.”
Their competitors, Los Angeles Lakers look to be in a bad shape now. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis sidelined with serious injuries, the team doesn’t look to be in a great position. Chris Broussard explained why Brooklyn are the clear favourites this season:
“The other team on their level is without its two superstars who have relatively serious injuries. Yes, the Brooklyn Nets should be the favourites. It would be a travesty, a mockery, a farce if the Brooklyn Nets were not the favourites to win the championship.”
Brooklyn is in a great position, being in the second spot of the Eastern Conference. With 29 games still left in the season, the Nets have ample time to solidify themselves even more as juggernauts.
