"Why does Dwyane Wade sell out LeBron James for his GOAT case?": Heat legend fires back at banter from Skip Bayless regarding Michael Jordan as his personal GOAT

Skip Bayless was given a fitting reply by Dwyane Wade on Twitter after the former dissected Wade’s take on Michael Jordan as his GOAT.

Dwyane Wade has always been known as LeBron’s favorite running mate, and with good reason. D-Wade and James were like peanut butter and jelly – essential and inseparable ingredients of the perfect pre-game sandwich recipe.

Wade is one of the most gracious talking heads out there. He’s been there and done that with this generation of players. When he says that Michael Jordan is his GOAT because he got him into basketball, you shouldn’t be twisting that as a dig on LeBron James.

But Skip Bayless did exactly that, prattling on about this piece of ‘news’ for a good few minutes yesterday. Most NBA players don’t respond to Skip, knowing him and his propensity for hot takes.

D-Wade approached it head-on, instead. He took on Bayless for these facetious takes on Twitter last night.

Dwyane Wade fires back at Skip Bayless for twisting his take on Michael Jordan vs LeBron James

Last night, Bayless raised eyebrows yet again by insinuating that D-Wade was somehow undermining his own friend by propping MJ up as his personal GOAT:

“Dwyane Wade is allegedly the best friend of LeBron James. And he continues to sell him out while LeBron is DESPERATE to make the GOAT case.”

D-Wade gave Skip a piece of his mind with this response on Twitter. He also made sure to shout out Kobe Bryant while doing so:

“Skip,  I love you man but don’t do that, don’t make it seem as tho I’m coming at his character. My GOAT eyes will forever be biased because of what MJ has meant to me as a basketball player. But let’s not get it twisted like LJ fans won’t have a great argument as do Kobe & others!”

Correcting Skip at this point is like talking to a broken record. It’s his shtick to dissociate things from their real context and twist them as he likes to fit a narrative. But hey, at least D-Wade is trying!
