Chris Paul and Lil Wayne share a hug following the former dropping 41 points on the Clippers to win Game 6 and Skip Bayless reacts.
Chris Paul does it yet again in a closeout game in these 2021 Playoffs as after dropping 37 points on the Nuggets in Game 4, the 16-year veteran drops 41 on the Clippers. Just as it seemed like Paul George and company were about to make a comeback late in the 3rd, Paul would go on his own, personal scoring tirade and score 14 of the Suns’ 16 points.

The Phoenix Suns will be returning to the NBA Finals for the first time since their date with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in 1993, a series they lost in 6. The script may be flipped going into the Finals this time around however, as depending on the health of Trae Young and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Suns may be favored as they also have homecourt advantage.
Regardless of what happens next, Chris Paul has made it further in the postseason than ever before and he celebrated his win with Lil Wayne. Wayne has been courtside for all of the Clippers home games this series, cheering CP3 on.

Lil Wayne hugs Chris Paul following the Game 6 win.
Lil Wayne has a bevy of friends within the NBA and Chris Paul is most certainly one of them. CP3 has been there for some of Wayne’s low points such as the time he was hospitalized in 2013 due to seizures and also when he was in Riker’s Island after having been caught with possession of a weapon.
Fast-forward to today and the rapper is present for the greatest day in Chris Paul’s NBA career. DeAndre Ayton also hugged it out with Lil Wayne following the win and Skip Bayless couldn’t get enough of it. He took to Twitter to point out that there’s genuine love between the All-NBA talent and Lil Wayne.
My friend Lil Wayne was courtside to support his friend Chris Paul for every game at Staples. They just hugged. Genuine love.

It’s fitting that Skip comment on this moment in particular as Wayne and Bayless share a great friendship in real life, as the latter wrote Undisputed’s opening theme song, ‘No Mercy’.
