Chris Paul and Monty Williams have always been on the same page since the two joined forces on the Phoenix Suns. And honestly, it makes sense. Monty Williams is a brilliant head coach, to say the least. However, he is also humble enough to never assume that he has all the answers.
The 49-year-old has spoken about how he lets the players voice their opinions on the game as well, and how the franchise is better for it. There are multiple such occasions when this policy has noticeably benefited their organization.
He doesn’t believe his opinion is always the right opinion, instead, having more of a discussion with the players. And given that Chris Paul is a player that thrives when he has a voice, it only makes sense for the two to work so well together.
For fans that may not know though, this isn’t the first time the player and head coach have been on the same team together. And after the Suns moved onto the Conference finals, Williams announced just what his long-time relationship with Chris Paul means to him.
