'Clippers should sign Isaiah Thomas': Kendrick Perkins roasts Lakers' rivals with a piece of advice

Kendrick Perkins is in the news again for suggesting the Clippers should sign Isaiah Thomas, ‘since they haven’t done anything else’.

The Los Angeles Lakers have won the free agency market by a wide margin. They replaced outgoing centers JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard with Montrezl Harrell and Marc Gasol. Both Harrell and Gasol took paycuts to join the Lakers on 2-year deals.

The Lakers have also traded for Dennis Schroder, sending Danny Green to the Thunder with a pick. Green has since made his way to the Philadelphia 76ers, traded by Sam Presti for another pick.

The Clippers have been unable to keep pace with their crosstown rivals, who’re now prohibitive favorites for Banner 18. Although they signed Serge Ibaka to the mid-level exception and acquired Luke Kennard in a trade, they’re still looking for a playmaker. Lou Williams has been rumored to be on the trade block.

Kendrick Perkins advises Clippers front office to sign Isaiah Thomas

Isaiah Thomas is only another shooter rather than a playmaker. But he still has been looking back nearly to full fitness in offseason scrimmages. By the looks of it, he is ready to help a few teams around the league.

Kendrick Perkins believes the Clippers should take a punt at him.

Perkins had put the Clippers front office on blast for their work in free agency. He is now urging them to sign a former LeBron teammate in order to strengthen their ranks.

Whether or not Isaiah has a place in the league is a matter up in the air. There is no shortage of score-first guards who are defensively suspect across the league. Isaiah is unlikely to be in the plans of any title contender given his baggage.
