And he has really caught onto them, by delivering a statement about anti-vaccination and how maybe the Coronavirus is the government’s play to control the population.
Lots of NBA and sports personalities in general have been vocal about these conspiracy theories and it is worrying to see that they are using their massive platform to promote something that is anti-science.

Nuggets Forward was taking a live Q&A session on Snapchat on Tuesday night. One of the fans asked “ Bro speak on this coronavirus being overblown to scare people into being controlled, IK (I know) you know about all that”
MPJ directly jumped onto that by confirming that he felt a bigger agenda was behind all of this.
On that, the 22-year replied, “Personally, I think that the coronavirus is being used obviously for a bigger agenda, It’s being used for population control in just terms of being able to control the masses of people”.
Porter explained how the virus is controlling one’s life as he further added “Because of this virus, the whole world is being controlled. You’re required to wear masks, and who knows what’ll happen when this vaccine comes out. You might have to have the vaccine in order to travel. That’d be crazy.”

The information source for Porter to come to this conclusion is Youtube videos, as he informed in the Snapchat session that he is killing time in the bubble by watching videos on conspiracy theories about the Coronavirus pandemic.

But the statement is hard to believe, as we all know that in our childhood every one gets vaccinated for diseases like measles, mumps, rubella and many more. And also Porter playing in the most popular basketball league and not vaccinated in his entire life, it just seems impossible.
Players need to check on their irrational opinions as they might not know how this can affect the fans and the people around them. Being a celebrity they need to understand the power they possess in terms of their voice.
