Kevin Durant continues to amuse people of Twitter and claims that deleting tweets is a part of his brand on the social media platform.
Kevin Durant is perhaps, one of the most prolific ‘tweeters’ in the realm of professional sports. Nowadays, athletes tend to gravitate towards TikTok when it comes to social media platforms. Guys like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chase Claypool, Juju, and many more have been utilizing TikTok to its fullest extent, shunning classic platforms like Twitter to the side.

KD however, is a Twitter savant. He has been for over a decade and has gained notoriety for engaging with any and every fan he wishes to talk to on Twitter. Many athletes stray away from getting into back-and-forths with fans online as they’re considered to be trolls, at best, but Kevin Durant embraces it.
Durant’s ‘Twitter fingers’ seem to never rest as it feels like he’s consistently on the app. Taking yesterday as an example, the 2x champ interacted with 6 or 7 fans: a number that may seem small but comparing it to the thousands of athletes that reside on Twitter; it’s quite a bit.
Kevin Durant claims deleting tweets is a part of his brand now.
Sending out a bevy of tweets is perfectly coupled with the act of deleting them as well. Not every tweet of yours lands and that’s alright. Kevin Durant has understood this side of Twitter as well as he gets into it with fan on the platform.
As many remember, KD decided to open up the ‘next chapter’ of his NBA career 5 years ago, today, by joining the 73-9 Golden State Warriors after having blown a 3-1 lead to them a month prior in the WCF. 5 years later and fans are still calling the 2014 MVP out on this decision. One fan claimed Durant was offended that people still bring this topic up every year.
Kevin Durant in turn said that he was befuddled. He would later go on to delete this tweet. An eagle-eyed fan later asked KD, why he deleted his previous response, to which the ‘Slim Reaper’ hilariously replied, “It’s a part of my brand.”
Because it’s apart of my brand https://t.co/8GFvk1AXxC
