Despite Calling Kyrie Irving an Idiot, Shaquille O’Neal Endorses Mavericks’ Guard’s ‘Inner Peace’ Message to Fans
Shaquille O’Neal is a man who calls it as he sees it. He can be critical and isn’t shy about sharing his opinion. This is especially true when someone says something stupid. Such was the case, when Dallas Mavericks star, Kyrie Irving made some highly insensitive anti-Semitic comments.
Big Diesel went so far as to even call him an”idiot” for making said comments. However, that does not mean he doesn’t agree with everything Uncle Drew has to say. In fact, O’Neal recently shared a story on Instagram promoting a message Kyrie had for the world. A message about protecting one’s energy and inner peace and reaching peace of mind.
Shaquille O’Neal supports Kyrie Irving’s message promoting peace of mind
Recently, Kyrie Irving shared a message on Instagram promoting peace of mind. The Dallas Mavericks guard took to social media with some incense in hand to deliver his word on inner peace. He spoke at length about clearing one’s mind, getting rid of the haters, and finding loyalty, trustworthiness, and thriving in the environment you create for yourself.
It was a wholesome video with a powerful message. A good look for Kyrie considering it was just a few months ago that he came under heavy criticism for his anti-Semitic comments. In fact, one of his critics has used his own platform to support the 2016 NBA Champion’s message.
Shaquille O’Neal recently reshared the post on his own Instagram. His post shows that he stands with Kyrie when it comes to helping others improve themselves:
“Hey, you know what doing for yourself does? You know what protecting your energy and protecting your inner peace does?… Peace of mind. Who’s going to stop you? Who’s going to stop you after that? When you’ve cleared out the way…no stress, nobody holding you back, you don’t got no haters in your crew. You got a tribe that unconditionally loves you. You’ve got a family that you’re devoted to. You’re loyal. You’ve got trustworthy people around you. You’ve created the environment you want. And then, it’s time to thrive. Are you still going to be afraid?”

It’s great to see Shaq supporting a great message. But, this isn’t the first time Irving has been an advocate of inner peace. It’s the one constant in his life and has been there even through all his controversies.
Despite the unwanted media attention surrounding his mistakes, Kyrie continues to spread the word of inner peace
Over the years, Kyrie Irving has developed a bad reputation for himself. Whether it was the anti-Semitic comments, or his refusal to vaccinate himself in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The media attention surrounding him has been far from positive and re-affirming. However, despite all this, he still continues to champion the message of inner peace.
His desire to see the world united and at peace truly is inspiring. Hopefully, his messages are taken to heart and it helps reduce the propensity for violence that is infecting the world today.
