NBA fans take to Twitter to talk about Devin Booker owning the last game-worn no.23 LeBron James jersey following a switch to no.6.
LeBron James switching his jersey number from no.23 to no.6 is a plan the 4x champ has had in play ever since Anthony Davis joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019. James was quite intent on giving Davis no.23 as the former Pelican had been wearing that number all throughout his career in New Orleans.

However, due to the fact that Nike had already mass produced ‘LeBron James no.23’ jerseys, he was not allowed to go back to no.6. This left AD with jersey number 3. Now, with two years having passed since then, the ‘King’ has finally been allowed to revert back to the number he wore when he won his two championships with the Miami Heat.
Upon hearing this news, NBA fans were quick to figure out that Devin Booker is on sole possession of LeBron James’s last game-worn number 23 jersey. James had gifted this to Booker after the Suns bested the Lakers in 6 games in the first round.

NBA fans react to Devin Booker ‘stealing’ LeBron James’s jersey number.
NBA fans know no limit when it comes to trolling superstars that reside within the league. Even as one sharp-minded fan pointed out that Devin Booker owns something that could go for millions down the line, his mentions were flooded with comments about how D-Book hilariously stole his chance at a title and also stole his jersey number.
Book should switch to #23 next year to assert dominance.

Not only is this the last game-worn number 23 jersey that LeBron James had, but it was also signed by the man himself. This item will surely go for upwards of a $1 million as time goes by, especially upon James’s retirement from the league.
Putting this jersey up for auction might not be a bright move for Booker however because at the end of the day, it was a gift from LeBron James to him. Trying to earn a quick buck from something as valuable as that would certainly not please the 4x MVP.
