Brooklyn Nets’ All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving jotted down a message on his Instagram. He wrote the message after the team was trolled and made fun off for their back-to-back losses against the Cavaliers.
Kyrie Irving stated how the team’s early struggles after the acquisition of James Harden, didn’t shake up their confidence. He still believed that the Brooklyn Nets had what is required to reach the NBA Finals. Kyrie wrote this on his social media :
“Don’t trip. It’s a long journey. We will be on that stage. The stage where the best of the best meet. … You know. The main stage. Where those who can, do. And those who cannot talk about those that are doing. If you rolling with us, great. Let’s rock. If you’re not, you know you wanna talk about our greatness anyway.”

His All-Star counter piece, Kevin Durant came in support of the message and commented: “Speak on it king!!”
‘We’re just putting it out as a goal of ours that we came together and this team’: Kyrie Irving
Irving made the following statement in his post-game press conference yesterday:
“I give people [something] to talk about everyday. It comes with the business, and living a very public life as an athlete or an entertainer, I know we have supporters and we have a lot of doubters, so being on this stage, it is the main stage, but you know the main stage I’m talking about. We’re just putting it out as a goal of ours that we came together and this team, we’re focused on that. That’s it.”
Soon after his message, the Nets took on last year’s finalists Miami Heat. The Nets managed to win the game with a narrow margin of 128-124. Irving finished the game with 28 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. While James Harden continues to be sober on the scoring end, Kevin Durant had a team high 31 points.
The Nets have now improved their record to 10-8, placing them on the 5th spot of the Eastern Conference. The Nets will host the Heat again at the Barclays Center as their next game.
