LaMelo Ball isn’t having his best season so far. Or perhaps it isn’t quite fair to say that either. After all, he can’t control being injured, or just how unfortunate the last few months have been on his left ankle.

What makes matters worse is, after the roaring success of his first signature shoe with Puma, the MB.01, this was supposed to be the debut season of the MB.02.
But, with LaMelo Ball unable to wear the sneakers consistently, and having already had 2 injuries in them, the demand for the shoe is sure to take a hit.
However, apparently, that hasn’t affected the kids’ section of his audience too much. In fact, even a certain Canadian artist’s young boy has been seen rocking them.
Let’s get into it, shall we?

As Drake himself once said, he prefers checks over stripes… or rather anything else it appears, as his deal with Jordan Brand has been estimated to be $1 billion or higher.
And given the notoriety of the artist right now, it most certainly is believable that the Nike owner brand will be willing to give him that much.
However, despite that massive deal, it appears that he has made it clear his son isn’t a part of that deal, putting this out on his Instagram story.

LaMelo Ball may just owe Drake a massive favor for this one. After all, during this dark period, this post may just insanely drive up the sale for his sneakers.
And frankly, the MB.02s are an amazing basketball shoe and deserve all of it.
How did Drake announce his deal with Jordan Brand?
Drake has always been on the side of Nike and Jordan brand, regardless of having a deal with them or not.
He is a bit of a sneakerhead and has had quite a few Nikes and Jordans in his collection. And with time, that collection has only grown.
So, given how much of a fan he has been of the company, signing a big deal with them was well… a big deal to him.
And when he finally did so 8 years ago, he announced it in the most Drake way possible.
Almost a decade later, it’s looking like a very, very smart investment for both parties.
