Shaquille O’Neal is one of the few media personalities who doesn’t shy away from saying what’s on his mind. It is one of the things that the audience really like about the 7ft 1″ big man. He never shied away from acting on his impulses during his time in the league, and that hasn’t changed post-retirement.

Whether it’s his platform on Inside the NBA, or his Big Podcast, Shaq always keeps it real, no matter how the other person would react to it. Over his career, Dwight Howard has dealt with a lot of comments coming from O’Neal. However, this time, Shaq crossed a line.
Dwight Howard had 38 points, 25 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 blocks in a game in the T1 league. While others appreciated him for the same, Shaq mocked the 10x All-Star.

Shaquille O’Neal apologizes to Dwight Howard
After the Thanksgiving weekend, Shaq returned a different man. On the latest episode of Big Podcast, he apologized to his co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams for not calling them on Thanksgiving. Carrying on his streak of apologies, he extended an apology to Dwight Howard.
“I got scolded by my mama yesterday for messing with Dwight. So, Mr. Dwight Howard, I owe you an apology. I will never hurt your feelings again.”
Noting what was going on, Nischelle said, “When Dr. Lucille says something, you listen.”
She’s right. Whenever Shaq’s mom has intervened, Big Diesel has always listened and straightened\ up. Whether it was his scuffle with Charles Barkley, his tryst with JaVale McGee, or Dwight Howard now, Dr. Lucille is always the voice of reason for Shaq.
Lucille O’Neal sorted things out between Charles Barkley and Shaq
Back in the 90s, Shaq and Charles Barkley got into a tough altercation on the court.
It was a full-blown scuffle, and things didn’t end on good terms for the two stars. To resolve this situation, their mothers had to step in. Shaq recited the incident to Jimmy Fallon. He shared how he was taken on a conference call by his mom Lucille, with Chuck’s mom, Glenn.
‘This is Charles’ mom and your mom’s on the phone too,’” Shaq recalled. “I was like, ‘Yes ma’am, how are you?’ She said, ‘Y’all need to stop. I already talked to Charles. He’s gonna meet you in the hallway. Y’all need to stop and hug. Y’all are two of the greatest players in the world, we don’t want y’all fighting in front of the kids, y’all stop that.’”
Moms always have a great influence on their children’s lives and this is a perfect example of the same.
