Murray’s injury came as a setback to the Nuggets, who were having a great season until then, with Nikola Jokic having an MVP season followed by the acquiring of Aaron Gordon.
Murray’s absence could clearly be felt in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The Nuggets were swept in the western conference semi-finals 4-0 by the Phoenix Suns.
It would not be wrong to say that Murray has the best phase of his career in the 2020 Orlando Bubble. The Nuggets star averaged 24.4 PPG, 6.3 APG, and 4.8 RPG in the 2020 playoffs, scoring 50.2% from the field and 43.3% from the 3-point line. Murray has 2 games with 50-points.
The Nuggets star also helped his team overcome a 3-1 deficit back-to-back, his performance against the Clippers in Game Seven stunned everyone.
Recently Murray sparked trade rumors by liking a tweet that indicated he would be joining forces with LeBron James in LA.

Murray signed a 5-year contract worth $158M with the Denver Nuggets in the 2020-21 NBA season. It will be interesting to see if the Lakers have the cap space to afford the Nuggets star and what will be they willing to give in exchange.
There have been rumors of the Lakers trying to get rid of Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell doing the rounds.
