“Giannis Antetokounmpo was mad at Scott Foster for ruining his free throw routine”: NBA fans react to the Bucks MVP sternly glaring at Foster during their Game 3 win against the Suns

Giannis Antetokounmpo sternly glares at Scott Foster after he gave Giannis the ball a bit too early during his free throw routine in Game 3.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has started a movement amongst fans in arenas away from home. The Bucks superstar has made it a point to take much longer than 10 seconds to shoot a free throw from the charity stripe. This has caused quite nearly all fanbases not named the Milwaukee Bucks to count down the seconds it takes Giannis to complete a free throw.

Of course, given that these are fans of the opposing team, they count down to seconds a bit faster than usual. Nevertheless, this doesn’t take away from the fact that the ‘Greek Freak’ takes an egregious amount of time to drain a single free throw, stalling the game for a substantial amount of time.

Game 3 saw a shift in atmosphere however as the Bucks were at home and so anytime Giannis took to free throw line, Fiserv arena went into a state of deep slumber. This was so that the 2x MVP could focus on his free throws and not have 20,000 fans yell at him.

Scott Foster gives Giannis the ball too early during his free throw routine.

Giannis’s free throw routine starts well before he gets a hold of the ball. He has been doing this so frequently that almost all NBA referees have understood when to give the ball to him when he’s at the charity stripe. Seems like Scott Foster hasn’t gotten the memo yet and gave him the ball much too early. This warranted a confused stare from Antetokounmpo.

The botched free throw routine didn’t stop Giannis from draining both of his free throws however, en route to his 29th point of the night. He would finish with 41 points and shoot an outstanding 13-17 from the free throw line.

NBA fans were clearly amused by Giannis’s reaction as they took to Twitter to react to the hilarious moment that ensued between Scott Foster and the Greek native.
