Match report : Kidambi Srikanth wins the Indonesia Open !

In what is huge sporting day for India, Kidambi Srikanth will defend his country’s pride on the badminton court as he faces Kazumasa Sakai in the final of the Indonesia final.

Kidambi Srikanth has been brilliant, as he stunned the world number one on his way to the final. His performances over the past few months have been superb as he along with Sai Praneeth have been the flag bearers for the recent surge for Indian male badminton.

After an Indian final in the Super series a few weeks ago, Srikanth is India’s only representative in the Indonesia final. And all of India will be backing him to bring home the gold today!

In the final, Srikanth won the first set 21-11 as he over powered Kazumasa Sakai in the initial stages of the game. His attacking game was

Srikanth took the lead in the second game as he raced to 12-10. But Sakai fought back and brought the leveled the game at 15-15.

But then the match went down to 18-18 as they played a superb match!

Then Srikanth went on to hold his nerve and win the game 21-19 and then won the Indonesia Open !
