When one imagines a game of basketball nowadays, they don’t only think of players running and dunking. They also think of players shooting lights out from half-court range, and a huge reason behind the same is a 6ft 2″ guard named Stephen Curry. The 4x NBA Champion showed us all what a good 3-point shot could do, making everyone rethink how they approached the 3-point line.

Thanks to their sharpshooting, Steph and his Splash Brother Klay Thompson led the Warriors to a first championship in 2015. Since then, not only the players in the league but also kids on playgrounds started looking at the 3-point line differently.
Recently Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was talking to high school state champions Oakland Tech and Oakland High School in Oakland. During his interaction, Jabbar joked about wanting to slap Steph. Here is why:
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar talks about how Stephen Curry potentially erased the skyhook
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has had a huge year. It’s not even been three months in 2023, and he had one of his most prized accomplishments, the NBA’s Scoring Record, taken away from him. LeBron James eclipsed the Cap on the scoring list with a fadeaway mid-range jumper against the Thunder.
Speaking to the kids at the school, someone asked Kareem about advice on the skyhook. To that, Jabbar had a hilarious reply, saying,
“They’ve forgotten about anything that doesn’t say three-points on it. I’ve got to go across the Bay and slap Steph Curry for him changing everyone’s mind about how to play the game.”
Now this is gold 😂😂 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar says he needs to “slap Steph Curry” for changing the game when asked about his advice for youngsters on the skyhook. He says they don’t think about the skyhook, it’s all about the three ball now. #DubNation pic.twitter.com/SyH8YHLuk6

I mean, the big man isn’t wrong. Steph did revolutionize the three-ball and in turn, ended up changing the way youngsters approach the game. Nowadays, we wont see kids trying a skyhook, but you’d see every kid try and nail down a triple.
Splash Brothers made history again
The Golden State Warriors pulled off a huge-comeback win last night. Down 20 in the first half, they rallied against the Pelicans and ensured they hold on to the 6th seed. In the game, Steph shot and made eight triples, and Klay had 5 triples. With that, the Splash Brothers made history yet again by as both touched 250 3-pointers in the same season. No other pair of teammates have done it, and the Splash Bros have done it thrice now.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have each made 250 3-pointers in the same season for the 3rd time.
They also did this in 2015-16 and 2016-17.

Jordan Poole is at 199 3s made, and as soon as he touches 200, the Warriors trio becomes the first in NBA History to have 3 teammates make 200+ 3s in the same season.
