Shaquille O’Neal was the most dominant player on the court during his playing days, but he had his flaws. Shaq was a serial cheater, especially in his marriage with Shaunie O’Neal. It took years for him to finally accept his transgressions and own up to his mistakes. Over time he also developed a sense of humor regarding it. The Diesel recently shared an Instagram story clowning cheating fathers.

The Big Diesel’s escapades back when he was married caused a lot of trouble for him and his family. His antics forced his children to grow up in a divorced household. However, time heals all wounds and it certainly did for O’Neal. To the point, where he is now comfortable making jokes about things that would have had quite the sting years ago.

Shaquille O’Neal is quite funny and his quick wit has earned him a lucrative career in television. The Big Aristotle always has a joke up his sleeve, often sharing them with his 30 million plus followers on social media. But there are times when the said jokes are head-scratchers.

Recently, Shaq took to Instagram to share a video, hilariously making fun of cheating fathers. And while it is a funny joke, Shaq himself admittedly being a serial cheater makes it a little bit ironic as well. The four-time NBA Champion has admitted that his cheating days are something he is not proud of.

Not only did it lead to the end of his relationship with his now ex-wife Shaunie, but it also cost him valuable time with his kids after the divorce. During an episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq said:

“I was a serial cheater. It would be crazy and blasphemous for me to get up here saying boom, boom, bam. I can’t do that. I know these guys[Ime Udoka and his family] personally. I know they’re going through a lot because I went through a lot … I did it. I was the best at it. I’m not proud of it. I lost my family doing it. I lost valuable, important years with my children doing it.”

Fortunately, Shaq has grown over time and he is now comfortable joking around about something that caused both him and his family so much pain. He shared this reel in his Instagram stories.

It certainly was a tough time for Shaq. After all, no one would like to be the cause of their family’s problems. But he managed to salvage his friendship with Shaunie, and more importantly, his relationship with his kids.
