The King has been dominating the league ever since he was drafted, and still is even to this day. Now aged 38, LeBron’s focus on maintaining fitness, coupled with his unique style of play has been the key to his success.

It is hard to describe James’ style, but the simplest way is that he is a pass-first player who can score. Well, Trailblazers icon, Terry Porter says it better. LeBron is a combo of Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen.

Terry Porter believes LeBron James is a combination of Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen

As of today, LeBron James’ career averages are 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists per game. A near triple-double, and it is not something you see every day.

It is the mix of IQ, skill, and athleticism that LeBron has that makes him so great. With such ability, it is hard to find a good comparison for The King. Well, Portland Trailblazers legend, Terry Porter has the perfect comparison. He believes that the four-time NBA Champion is a combination of two Hall of Famers, Magic Johnson, and Scottie Pippen.

“I think LeBron — he has just been special in regards to how he’s been built. I wouldn’t say he’s one guy, he’s like multiple guys from my era. He’s like a Scottie Pippen and a Magic.”

High praise coming from Terry Porter for The King. To be fair to Porter though, he isn’t far off, Magic and Pippen were both pass-first players who could get to the rim. The perfect comparison for LeBron.

LeBron is 527 points away from taking the scoring record away from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

On his birthday, the 31st of December, LeBron James dropped 47 points on the Atlanta Hawks. A normal game for The King, but one that took him within 527 points away from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to take the scoring record in the NBA.

It truly will be a historic day in the league when LeBron takes the record. After all, he will be improving his case for the title of GOAT.
