Steve Kerr has recently come into the spotlight for a statement he made on the Ringer NBA Show, hosted by Logan Murdock and Raja Bell. The tweet, as published by NBA Analyst Drew Shriller, went like this.
Steve Kerr:”I enjoyed last season, when we had the worst record in the league, more than I enjoyed that last season when we went to the Finals. Last year we had young guys who were trying every day, working hard and we had a great energy, great spirit and great camaraderie.”

What’s interesting is that KD chose to respond to the same. He commented by saying, ‘This is hilarious’. However, when the same came to Kerr’s attention, he wanted to set things straight. After the practice, Kerr made a statement, clarifying things, and then opened the floor to questions.
“That was totally out of context!”: Steve Kerr
As he took the floor to talk with the media, Kerr opened the same by making a statement first. He explained the context behind where the statement was originated.
Kerr, on the Ringer podcast, was comparing the stress levels he had in the 2018-19 season to the 2019-20 season. Being two-time defending champions, and going for a third ring, getting two season-ending injuries in the Finals, it got too messy.

Kerr continued by giving Drew Shriller an earful, and urging people to not quote him, and first hear to the podcast to get to context.

It has been over a season and a half since KD left the Warriors, and people should stop trying to make a feud where there is none.
