"I connected most with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green": Kevin Durant opens up on his favorite Warriors teammates on latest podcast episode

Kevin Durant calls Draymond Green his favorite teammate on the Golden State Warriors on his latest episode of the ETCs podcast.

Kevin Durant was with the Golden State Warriors for three seasons during the late 2010s. During this time, the franchise was one of the most dominant ever franchises in the history of the NBA, and won two championships, stopping just short of the three-peat.

As many fans know, the Slim Reaper eventually made his way to Brooklyn, but not many knew why exactly. After all, the end goal is to win an NBA championship. And the Warriors being as dominant as they were, this team was anybody’s best shot to get a ring.

Due to the no reasons given by the star, many speculated the cause was a rift between him and Draymond Green. Yet, shockingly, Durant’s recent statements on his podcasts defy that belief completely.

Kevin Durant says he was closest to Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on the Warriors

Kevin Durant has been making quite a few podcast appearances in recent times, including some on his own podcast. This time he sat down with ‘Gillie Da King’ on his podcast to talk basketball from his perspective.

When he was asked about his experience with the Golden State Warriors, this is what he had to say.

As Kevin Durant put it, Draymond Green is certainly the kind of player that holds players accountable. So, given that he didn’t have that figure in OKC, it makes sense why the two players got so close.

Given how abrasive Green can be, and how sensitive Durant can be sometimes, you can see why there was an altercation at all. However, it is incredibly heartwarming to see the two players finally putting their differences aside and publicly showing their respect for each other.
