"What a ridiculous and-1 lmao": Kevin Durant loves Stephen Curry's unreal circus shot in Warriors vs Celtics

Even a 4-time scoring champion like Kevin Durant was impressed by a circus shot from Stephen Curry last night. Boston took the game 119-114.

Stephen Curry and Jayson Tatum went at each other in one of the best Old School vs New School duels of the year. The Warriors star splashed 11 3-pointers on the night – his 20th game with 10+ 3-pointers.

Despite Steph’s heroics, the Warriors blew a 6-point lead at the end. A Marcus Smart 3-pointer right at the end gave Boston a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Kevin Durant reacts to a crazy circus shot by Stephen Curry

There’s a reason why Curry goes by a moniker equivalent to ‘Skyf**ker’ in Chinese. The Oakland legend can splash the craziest of shots with the minimum of fuss on practically any defender.

We’ve seen him take and make a variety of those prayers and deep bombs over the years. But this particular one is comparable to literally any play by the Chef over the past 15 years or so. There is no way to quantify the degree of difficulty involved on this one.

Even Kevin Durant, who’s an accomplished HORSE shot maker himself, found himself stumped for words in response to this shot. All he could say by way of Twitter was a subdued ‘What a ridiculous And-1 lmao’.

This shot is practically the worst shot one could hoist in that particular situation. Steph was facing away and spinning away from the cup when he turned into the defender.

He contorted his body, got a sliver of elevation over the defender and swished a 22-foot hook shot with his off hand. It’s seriously a matter of how much practice he’s done with and-one sequences like this.
